So, I'm getting married next Saturday and I've been checking the weather forecasts and I must admit I'm a bit scared! I am getting married at a castle in New York. The rehearsal dinner is poolside and the ceremony will be in the gardens - not to mention cocktail hour on the terrace.

It looks like it's cloudy weather for next Friday and I'm petrified to see what Saturday will be.

It's rain all next week and lets not forget the hurricanes that are forming in the Atlantic - sometimes they have a tendancy to creep up the coast and soak us! Of course, this weekend is picture perfect - sunny all weekend and "fall-like" tempatures!

Please cross your fingers for me our weather is nice!! Need some PS dust!

Crossing my fingers for you! Weather changes so much that it''s really hard to predict more than a few days out.

I know, it''s just so hard to see those clouds in the forecast. I mean, I know it comes with the territory for having a wedding during hurrican season, but still! I''m so nervous it''s going to rain - it POURED all day for my sister''s wedding last year and I swear my family is cursed!

Awe, we both need finger crossing and PS fairy dust right now (see my hurricane dean thread)

I have my fingers crossed for your wedding day BB! I agree with Robbie though...try not to stalk the weather until about 2 days before...the extended forecasts change so much! I hope you have a beautiful day!

Definitely crossing my fingers for you!!

What are your rain plans? I assume there is space to move everything inside should it rain... I know the inside rain location(s) probably have a different feel than having the events outside, but if you're getting married in a castle, I'm sure the inside rooms aren't too shabby!!

Well, that''s one reason why we chose the castle was for space inside AND outside. But, I''d much rather have my ceremony outside - it''s what I''ve been envisioning for the past year.

is it at oheka castle? that place is gorgeous...rain or not, but i hope it doesn''t rain.

No, it''s Castle on the Hudson

Rain, rain, go away, come again another day. Everyone is waiting for the sun...

Sorry, reminded me of this song I love... Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

I really hope things turn out how you envision them.

BUT, whatever happens, there are some things you just can''t control! I am sure if I were in your position I would be freaking out and someone I know would say to me, "Just remember: there are things that will happen that are unexpected and unwelcome. You and your guy have to navigate all sorts of these situations and make the most of everything from now on." And, of course, that would kind of make me angry, but it might also make me stop and think!

*fingers crossed*

Well, you have a back up plan and that''s all that matters! In fact, someone told me the morning of my wedding day (it had rained the night before and we had no back up location plan B and it was overcast all day!) that the reason it''s good luck to have a little rain on your wedding day is because "it washes away the past, leaving you a fresh future"...I liked that!

At least you have a back-up plan if it rains. Hopefully the weather will be perfect though!

Blushingbride, sending good-weather vibes your way!!!!! I hope you have the most amazing, spectacular day!!!
