This is mine, slightly over 1 carat. Not nearly as clear or high color as the one you are looking at. I wanted the windmills to be wider so they were the same width as the round stones in the corners. I am in a minority, but I never buy a fancy cut stone without a plan for the type of setting I want it to be in.
How are you planning on setting the stone?
caolsen, this ring causes raspy inhalations of envy. It's so fabulous! Is there a thread where you explain the setting?
I need an acronym for not an expert - NAE?
Its the angle the stone is slitting at that is making them flash slow but they are flashing.

I like this Asscher a lot. There is one static moment as it rotates over the center but it's a pleasing picture, more of an attribute than a fault. I can't imagine it disappointing me if it looks like the video.
Have you gotten the GIA report? If there's nothing scary in the Comments section, I would order that rascal. Seems like a decent price, too.
NAE.

Face up in the real world they will flash well.
Edit: In other words they are doing what I would expect them to be doing.
You can learn more by looking at it in a many lighting conditions as possible.Do you think it is worth purchasing an aset scope to test it on arrival?
It's annoying that JA blocks out the GIA number. I tried to find this diamond on B2C because they will provide the report number but I couldn't find it.
JA will send it with a plunger so you can carry it around in various lighting environments with relative safety.
Maybe a baguette halo? There have been a number of them on this forum and they're just incredibly beautiful.
