I have put this in a different thread in the RockyTalky forum, but someone suggested that I make a new post to show off my new bling! I had my 1.18 ct round brilliant engagement ring reset in a more modern Ballerina setting. I got the inspiration from Laura Preshong's Natalia Ring Design, but I changed it a bit. I went to David Klass in LA and Amy designed a really beautiful ring - it has massive finger coverage which is a HUGE change from my old solitaire. Unfortunately I don't have any photos of my original ring design (this actually makes me sad... I am sure I do somewhere, I just can't seem to find them). But here we go - here are the stats:
Original stone is a 1.18 ct round brilliant, H VS2
20 baguettes in the halo which total 1.77 cts G VS quality
Platinum size 6.5
I had it made to stack perfectly with my Emerald Cut eternity band, but when I tried them on together ... whoa! It was a bit much for everyday (although I do love it). I am probably going to wear it with my original wedding band which is much much smaller!
Here are the photos - first are the glam photos from DK:
Here are the hand shots.... I am a terrible photographer and desperately need a manicure!!
Tried it with a yellow gold cigar band that I love, but not sure it really works.
Also tried it with my french cut ruby band... you can barely see it!
