Realized our T & Co diamond has a 2.7 HCA Score

OMG, you have a TIFFANY RING!!?? Just that right there is something so many women dream of! The experience of sitting in Tiffany's with the man you love choosing your dream ring, its an amazing memory you will have forever. Please try not to think about 'perfect numbers', if you love it when you look down at it, that is all that matters. Congratulations on your engagement!

I think Tiffany may sell a thin spacer. Many other places do as well - particularly Etsy. I am truly happy for you!!

I have a 2mm Tiffany band, but I don't know that they make it anymore.

Thank you so much for letting me know! I will definitely check with Tiffany and on Etsy. I think I found one on Etsy that I really like - Ferkos 1.2mm band. I’ll consider ordering this first to try it out!

Thank you so much for your lovely message! Yes, I think the memory behind this ring is much more important than the specs of the diamond. I lost focus completely when I learned all about the ideal ranges xD I am so grateful to you all for reminding me what is most important and that I’m so fortunate to have a wonderful fiancé who splurged on a Tiffany engagement ring for me :’)

Do you love the ring? If so, wear it and enjoy it. Do you have any images of the ring up close? I doubt that Tiffany will let you return the ring for a refund at this point. You might be able to take advantage of their trade up policy to get another diamond. However, they may only offer that once, so make very sure that you are really unhappy with the ring in order to do that.

I am assuming you loved the diamond before coming here? If so, just wear it and enjoy it for the beauty you saw in it when it was purchased. The numbers aren't perfect for the HCA, but they are not so off as to say your diamond isn't beautiful!

I second this.

We didn’t know any of this either. Learning after the fact can send you down a rabbit hole of despair- it did for me. Took me a couple years of obsession, reading, ogling stones and rings here, and resetting my original diamond three times to find diamond peace. Some wonderful posts here about stepping away from the torment- alas I do not recall specifically where to find them. You could search some of my posts to get the gist of my own arc.

It’s a horrible feeling to realize you may have been able to get better value for your money by hunting a super-ideal stone. Yet the only value that matters is value *to the two of you* It’s also freeing to step away and remember the butterflies of trying and choosing and first wearing your new ring.

My husband got me a lab stone for our first anniversary - has better HCA than my OG natural stone, yet the fire of m original diamond in the halo setting is just beyond. I have the lab ring, yet it now makes me a little bit queasy to wear.

I took some time away from PriceScope, finally settled on a setting I love, and just decided to climb out of the rabbit hole, file super ideals away for future info if we ever decide to upgrade, and just love my ring and what it means to the two of us.

I have found not only ring peace but ring joy. With the support here- these are lovely responses- you will as well.

Congratulations on your engagement and your ring. May you find your way to ring Joy♥️

Thank you very much for your message sharing your thoughts and past experiences! I too got caught up with the ideal specs and numbers and forgot about what the ring truly means to us. Now that I let go of those thoughts about getting the ideal diamond, I feel much better and even starting to enjoy my ring a lot more!

Thank you for letting me know that I’m not the only girl who goes crazy about stuff like this xD I’m so glad you are finally able to find ring peace and ring joy after such a long journey! Agree with you that we need to step away from Pricescope for a bit to save ourselves from getting too deep into this rabbit hole lol The first few days of knowing I didn’t get the most perfect diamond from Tiffany’s drove me nuts… but I’m so grateful to you all for bringing me back on track and reminding me that the meaning behind the ring is what truly matters.

We will definitely save the super ideal specs and knowledge for our future diamond purchase. I think I am on the right track to ring joy! I am so blessed to have received so many wonderful responses, reassurance, and support from you all=)2:kiss2:
