Five years ago, I was in New York City for one of the shows and I tried on this ring by Gilded Lane. I loved it so much but had just bought a house and couldn’t justify it. It sold shortly thereafter and I always regretted it. I bugged Gene to see if he had any more rough that was similar, but he only has sizes that would cut huge stones. I kept my eye out on other vendors’ stones, but none ever fully compared to this one. It’s not just the colour, but the cut and how the setting complements it. Imagine my excitement when the person that bought it decided to part with it this year, I literally cried. Gingercurls was patient enough to accept a payment plan. I also bought the Mahenge spinel from her. I have always wanted a Jean-Noel Soni stone. DK set it in 14k white gold. The pieces arrived yesterday. I’m so happy!

Wow! I live the French cuts as well!

Beautiful!

Sorry- what is the green? It’s stunning!! What a lovely story, too.

Noooo, I’M sorry! I can’t believe I forgot that part! It’s an Afghan tourmaline, somewhere around 4.5 cts.

Absolutely beautiful! And I am so happy that this ring eventually found its way home to you. I have always believed that things & houses choose us & not the other way around. The frenchies are gorgeous & that colour!
