I mean, like I said in my thread, I don''t get the anti-red thing
but it sounds like it really is a personal choice. It''s just whether YOU would feel comfortable in it, because it''s not likely that anyone else would look and you and think "inappropriate!!"
Very pretty! That color is beautiful and is not that bright red that I think they might have been talking about anyway. That dress is made just like the black one my daughter is wearing to a wedding this weekend. I don''t think she is planning to wear anything over her shoulders...I don''t think that applies to most churches these days where we are anyway. Maybe it varies, though.

What do you think, can I safely wear this as a guest to an evening wedding? The recent thread has got me worried.
maybe take a pashmina or similar wrap for the church. I tend to like having one around, because inside can be so cold during the summer. Also, that way you can cover up if you are feeling a little bare earlier in the evening, and then at the rehersal ditch it and you clutch on a table and dance away!
aww gee...lots of blushing going on, at this end of things. Thanks everyone for responding, as I did buy this specifically for a wedding I have coming up.
I did debate in the store about the whole red thing, but the SA kept saying that it would be alright (and they didn''t have it in any other colors) Still, that niggly voice of not wanting to step on another''s toes with that last thread convinced me I needed to just put it out there to you savvy women.
The pashmina idea is much appreciated, I will be sure to grab one from a street vendor before summer officially hits NY and they disappear.
