The spinel is from Rick at Art Cut Gems, 1.04ct.
He described it as
"A very arresting Medium dark, Vivid, Red Burmese spinel that’s loupe clean and very well cut. It measures 4.95 x 6.50 x 3.90 mm"
Here are the vendor photos:
I find the photos and description pretty true to life. The cut isn't "precision" as we're used to the word, but the cut is pretty good, no shallow crows or huge bellies or anything like that.
I had a really hard time capturing the vividness of the red, but I gave it my best shot! I would say it's medium dark and vivid, a slight pink/purple secondary in certain lighting (you can see it most in the profile shots) No brown tones that plague the garnets. Stunning flashes of red in the sunlight.
