I'm selling my 3.08 Ct OMC by Leon Mege! I *adore* the stone and the ring but it's time to make room for something new!

The majorly chunky 3.08 N-O/SI OMC (appraised by David Atlas) came from Ari at Single Stone. She has personality for days I will miss! She faces up buttery white and her N-O color gives off a beautiful sunshine glow when viewed from the side. Totally eye clean. The high crown has a beautiful "ring-pop" effect on the finger!

The signature double claw, micropave Leon setting is super delicate and gorgeous. The setting makes the stone float and the profile is stunning.

It's simple, elegant and truly one-of-a-kind! Snap her up while you can!

(PS. For what it's worth, countless - seriously countless - strangers have stopped me on the bus, train, plane and street to look at and compliment this ring!)

Questions are welcome!

How much are you asking?

Re: Selling 3.08Ct N-O/SI OMC by Leon Mege

that is stunning!

Re: Selling 3.08Ct N-O/SI OMC by Leon Mege

Arrrrrrrrrrrrgh. Too bad the size is way too small for me to resize in my size (7).
Saw it and loved it but too small for me to wear (unless I start using my pinkie).
What a shame.

Hi Phanie - did you ask Grace about resizing? The pave goes just a little more than 3/4 around the band so I believe it is fully resizable!

Hann - what size is the ring ?

I'm hunting for an engagement ring and am no diamond expert like the others on here. I guess I would like to know if this makes for a good e-ring. I'm not too familiar with old cuts and wanted to know how they compare to more traditional round ideal cut, heart and arrow stones that are around color I and clarity si2. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Lenovo,

I don't know about your girlfriend, but I would have LOVED to receive this as an engagement ring! It wasn't until I joined PS that I even knew this cut existed, but since learning about it, I am obsessed. It is a very beautiful and substantial ring (and the setting is one of the prettiest I have ever seen)!

Re: Selling 3.08Ct N-O/SI OMC by Leon Mege

Hi Lenovo - sorry for the delayed reply! The ring is currently a size 4.75 but can definitely be sized with limitations. I don't think you can "compare" an old stone like this to a H&A RB. They're extremely different cuts and have substantially different personalities so it's completely personal preference. I personally love, love, love old cuts. With this stone in particular, I love that there's history behind it (estimated to be cut around the 1890s), the big chunky flashes of fire it gives, and its big ring-pop pillowy shape. As with other antique stones, I particularly loved that there is no other stone out there exactly like this one. It's one of a kind. I also adore the beautiful setting by Leon, which I think is one of the most beautiful he's ever created (I am obviously biased.)

Vsp - thank you for the very kind words!

Lenovo - I also want to add that I honestly received so many compliments on this ring. People would stop me on the street. I'm obviously biased, but it is spectacular in person. Please let me know if you have any more questions and I'll try my best to answer them!

Hi Lenovo - sorry, I don't think there's a way to PM/DM on Pricescope. Would it be possible for you to drop me a note here?

Gaah! Thats a beautiful stone. I love it set E-W. And the chunkiness... :lickout:
I am sure it will sell quickly at this price.

Re: Selling 3.08Ct N-O/SI OMC by Leon Mege

wow, so unique and beautiful! best of luck with the sale!

Re: Selling 3.08Ct N-O/SI OMC by Leon Mege

The stone looks really pretty, but a straight, head-on shot is needed of the stone. I would think anyone interested would have to see the facet pattern and how symmetrical it is as well as the clarity. I know I would have to have that view.

PSers - as a part of Grace's spring sale, I've reduced the price to $15,950 until the end of May. Grace will update her site in the next couple of days but I would love for this to go to a fellow PSer.

Stone measures 9.25x7.95 & was hand-picked by Ari, cut circa 1890. Very lively, tons of fire, throws huge flashes of light. As you can see from the photos, the warmth is visible mostly from the side and it faces up very white (check out head-on shots.) David Atlas graded as O-P but Martin Fuller and Nancy Stacy both graded as an M fwiw. Completely eye-clean. Classic chunky facets, large culet, high crown angles, and a somewhat irregular outline, which I think adds to its personality.

The Leon setting is his classic "buttercup" head which was originally modeled off a pair of earrings on his site.

Questions are welcome! Please make an offer!

Han001, have you considered making a loupetroop listing so PSers can contact you directly with offers?

Would you sell only the setting!?
Please let me know.
Thank you

Hi hammiejammie! Sorry for the delayed reply. Yes, I'm certainly open to that! Feel free to shoot Grace an email and I'll give her a heads-up :) [email protected]
