Okay, okay I know most of us stalk our registries but I honestly did not expect to see anything bought. My first shower isn''t until April (wedding not until Aug). Anyways, I almost had a stroke because at least a dozen things have been bought and MOST importantly the Dyson Animal I NEVER expected ANYONE to buy (we were just going to buy it with the discount)!!!! I love how my first thought is "oh, BBB must have screwed up." I am so excited (though feel slightly guilty for "cheating.")

I looked at my registry online all the time! I felt slightly guilty, but I was also able to edit or add things once I saw what people were buying.

Monarch- we have the same china pattern. (You have such good taste). I honestly didn''t think I was at risk. I go on every few weeks to add more things since registering was so overwhelming for me. I just do a bit at a time online. Oh well! Maybe a lot of people went in on it. I don''t want to say anything to anyone in case I ruin the surprise. I am so excited. With two cats we really need it!

I totally stalked my registry. i even had one gift bought off it before I even released the information! it was fun to try and guess who got me what. so bad, but so fun. i wanna get married again

i loved registry stalking!!!

one of my friends bought like 3 gifts but hoarded them since i hardly ever saw her, she lived about an hour away and was always ssoooo busy!

i was so curious on who got these gifts since they were ones i really wanted (aka one was our blender!) and they never arrived (aka even months later!), that i called up CB and asked them if they could tell me who bought them (also i thought well maybe they had gotten lost or stolen off our front porch...haha sure this was the rationalization for calling) and they told me the store that they were bought in, so that told me who it was basically because it was kind of out of the way over near where she lives. so then i emailed her telling her i knew she had all my gifts in her closet, and were we ever going to see her or what (we have that kind of honest silly/joking relationship!!)...so she was like HA HA you sneak and then we made plans to meet up. we see each other like 2ce a year so it was really funny. i said 'why didnt you just have them sent to our house??? do you know how many times i coulda used this blender?' hehe. she said, oh i wanted to give them to you in person but just kept getting busy!

ooo w/my wedding in three weeks, I swear I check my registries every day!!! hehe... I''m so terrible!! It''s so fun... then when I get them in the mail I finally figure out who bought what! There have been some unexpected ones - like one of FI''s guy friends got us a creamer! Wouldn''t have expected that one.

My lab mates have this guessing thing going - they try to guess what''s in the package when they come in... (I have them all sent to work, it''s not very secure around our house... )

But anyhow, it''s good to check anyway, so you can update and add things if a lot has been bought out... at least, that''s what I tell myself!

People have been so generous though, I''ve been amazed!

ohhh...I just realized how must I HATE opening gifts in front of people. It is so uncomfortable. Even if I KNOW what it is or that I will like it. I think its an attention thing I just hate all eyes on me...oh wait...we should have just eloped!

Nah, Tacori, you won''t feel embarrassed opening your gifts...I thought I would too, but things go so quickly at showers that you will just open, open, open, and then it will be over and you''ll be wishing it had gone more slowly! Sometimes going in, I think it''s hard to picture yourself as "the star" but once you are in the moment it doesn''t seem like you''re being anything but modest, I swear. All you have to do is be gracious and thankful, and everyone who''s come to join you and shower you with gifts will be glad they came.

I am a total registry stalker.. but get this.. I stalked my registry constantly from the time my shower invites went out.. one of the first things to go off the list was all my table linens.. probably about $100 worth... I was so excited to see who got them for me.. and I NEVER GOT THEM AT MY SHOWER!! Around here its VERY rare to get anything besides cash for the actual wedding.. but since they got bought right when the shower invites went out.. I can''t imagine someone saving them for a wedding gift..and the wedding is still 2 months away.. So I don''t know where they are! One guest of FMIL''s did not come to the shower and FMIL acted like she expected her to send a gift.. so its possible its coming from her..but I''m so puzzled by it! Registry stalking can be dangerous!

Both our moms have and swear by their Dysons so I figured I could at least get it after the wedding with the discount. I guess not only was I surprised it was bought, but that it was bought so soon. My shower invites are out so I guess that could explain the other stuff. It is VERY exciting (and interesting) to see which items go first. So I am not going to feel guilty about "cheating" anymore. This is normal

I put the dyson on mine too, just for the discount. Although I saw on the Dillard''s registry that someone who is not invited to the wedding bought our waterford candlesticks, and a package never arrived...I wonder if they think they are invited to the wedding and plan on bringing the ceremony. Not to mention they bought a gift 3 months in advance.

You are all better people than I am! I actually checked my registries to see WHO had bought the gifts! So bad. Actually, my husband (then fiance) was the one who was always on there looking! He was worse than us girls! So of course, I was curious and I had to know who was buying what. It kind of killed the excitement of opening each gift since I knew what to expect but I can admit that I have no will power and succumbed to the temptation! Don''t do it, ladies!!

Hi Tacori--yes, we''re also at Macy''s. Maybe they''re all buying gifts from Macy''s, OR, maybe they''re all giving cash! Actually, the invites just went out late last week so I''m just being whiny. [chant: "this is not about gifts, this is NOT about gifts"]

You all have me so intrigued about this Dyson vacume cleaner! We have white cat hair EVERYWHERE! Like, if it weren''t my cat, I''d be so disgusted. Is this Dyson thing really so great?

Self-love - Don''t feel bad.. Nothing got bought off my target registry either.. a couple things did..butI was bummed.. but there were four or five things that I got as gifts that never got taken off the registry there..I went online and took them off myself.. I don''t know if it was on Target''s end or the gift-givers..I had problems with target not taking things off when buying for my friends shower.. but also have my suspicions about at least one of the gift givers.

Selflove-both our mom''s have the dyson animal (actually his mom was a regular dyson as well as several other machines, her house is very clean

) and both of them love them. They are suppose to be the best on animal hair and have lots of attachments (which I like). Also the hose is SO long you can almost do all of your stairs without moving it. I am very excited about that!

Oh Tacori, I shouldn't even taint you by telling you this but since you asked...both of my registries had a "thank you card manager" and if you go to that, it tells you who bought what. You're not supposed to access it until after your wedding but they don't actually block you from it and I have no resistance! I hope that doesn't ruin your surprises. Try not to check!!!

I am starting the register process, my first shower is in June. It''s fun but kind of a pain...BUT I do know that I got my place settings!!

I gotta talk to FI and see if we can swap vacume cleaners on the registry. I think we put like a $120 dirt devil on there but this Dyson sounds so much better.
