Rehearsal dinner outfit

Hey ladies, quick question -

I''m a bridesmaid in my friend''s wedding next weekend. I am trying to figure out if it is okay to wear black to the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. The dinner will be at a sports bar, so I was thinking of wearing black dress pants with a nice black top. Does that sound reasonable, or is black a no-no for the rehearsal?

See what the bride is wearing and match her style and level of formality. The only problem I see with your ensemble is that it might be too formal for a sports bar. I don''t see a problem with the black.

Um, I got hot in my wedding dress, and ended up wearing a black dress to my wedding reception. If you can wear black there, why not the rehearsal?

I would say though, if you have any questions drop a quick call to your friend. It sounds like it would be fine!

It sounds fine to me. There is definitely no "rules" about wearing black to a rehearsal dinner. Seems like you could wear any nice going out type outfit to that type of RD.

I wore a black dress to my own rehearsal dinner so I certainly wouldn''t be offended if someone else did. Unless there are some unusual cultural notions to consider, i think you should be fine.
