Hello,
I have chipped a .25ct diamond in my five stone platinum ring, I have lost the paperwork sent to me from the appraiser (it was a pre-loved item) over 8 years ago.
I want to have the diamond replaced and also the platinum polished/prongs checked/full clean etc. I’ve looked up the specs (from what I remember them to be) to match the other four diamonds and a replacement diamond should be about $550 - 600.
I have a couple of questions/requests.
1. Does anyone have any recommendations of who I might contact about this? Anywhere in the US is ok.
2. I don’t remember 100% what the specs of the diamonds are but I would prefer the jeweller to source the diamond for me as I live overseas, I will drop the ring off when I am home next.
3. Does anyone know how much the cost of the labour (I know polishing especially can be time consuming) might be? Just a general ballpark figure? I’m not really price sensitive about this, I am more interested in making sure the ring comes back to me as perfect as it can.
