Replicating this ring with sapphires

Hello- first time poster!

I am in love with this style of setting and sapphires.

I would love it with a central sapphire and side diamonds.

How easy would it be to replicate? Would it work out very expensive as the side diamonds (rubies on the above) would have to be specially cut?

Does anybody have any pictures of similar settings? How do they work with a wedding band?

Finally, are there any UK posters that can recommend sapphire specialist jewellers?

I'm in the UK and I haven't found anyone here who comes up to my standards for coloured stones. I have done the rounds many times and although people are prepared to go looking for me the prices are far more than I pay even including shipping and VAT.

I prefer to buy online from dealers (mainly in the USA).

I mainly buy from Rick Martin at ArtCutGems and Wink Jones at Winfields.

I've just had a look at the setting and unless by some miracle there is a stock setting of that sort around it looks like a custom job to me.

You will also have a similar situation to mine when it comes to a wedding band. Normal bands will not sit flush and can look a bit odd. I ended up having a custom w-band made to fit my e-ring. It would have been a lot simpler to do the two together so worth bearing in mind if you go with that style.
