I'm super excited to say the least!!!
Some years ago my mom gifted me an 18kt yellow gold necklace that she had had in her collection for a very long time! I remember growing up and seeing my mom wearing it almost every day!
I wore the necklace for a while but then I realized that it was a very heavy piece to wear around my neck all the time and that I should better use it in order to make more versatile pieces that I'd be able to enjoy frequently!
Well...that's exactly what I did! I went to my jeweler and asked him to make two bracelets out of the necklace, while maintaining its original design for sentimental purposes! I knew that I would feel happy looking down on my wrist and still seeing the same pattern that I used to see around my mom's neck!
My jeweler did an exquisite job! He made one bracelet in yellow gold (like the original piece) and one bracelet plated with rhodium, in order to get a white gold finish!
There was a small piece of gold from the old necklace that was left at the end and as a surprise he bonded the two ends and made it into a matching ring!!!
I'm very happy with the final result!
I'm attaching photos of the new pieces! It's a pity that I can't find photos of the original necklace (I'm sure I had posted some here on PS years ago but I can't locate them now!).
Please excuse my very dry hands in the pictures!
