I had been waiting (not so patiently;)) on the arrival of my bracelet.... and it's finally here! The Rhodolite is from Gene at Precision Gems and is 2.09ct (7.2mm).

The garnet has tiny corners so I was nervous about how the bezel would turn out but it looks perfect! The bezel has delicate milgrain. I love it. The depth of the bezel really helps to reduce flipping.

I have small hands and standard size bracelets normally slide off so I had it made to be 6.25". I know measurements help people sometimes so I thought I'd be a good PSer and include that bit of info :D .

It was overcast but I had to include a bezel family portrait!

That is beautiful pixies - LOVE the colour of your stone

Sorry if I'm interrupting - can I request some side and underside shots of the bezel? And is it silver or gold?

Thanks Yssie!

It is silver. I was originally going to do rose gold.... but I didn't want to put anymore into the project just in case the stone went too dark in the bezel and I had to reset it. It looks even prettier now that it's set though so I would have been fine. I'll take some more pictures tomorrow of the profile and underside. I have one side shot but it's really dark and from a weird angle.

The bezel is slightly deeper than the stone so it is different than the DBTY styles where the culet pokes you. Flipping would annoy me so I requested this and it seems to work out great thus far.

Gorgeous bracelet, Pixies!

I love the color and cut of your garnet. I really must buy something from Precision Gems!

Dan did a great job on the bracelet. The milgrain is a nice touch. Very simple and feminine!

Thanks movie zombie and burberrygirl! I felt the stone could stand on its own. I had been wanting a colored stone bracelet for a while so I went for it.

Here is a glamour shot of my stone. I've posted it before but I thought I'd add it here to have everything in one place.

And a not so glamour shot by me ;)

Hopefully tomorrow will be sunny so I can get some nice shots but I live on the coast, and it's almost always overcast here ;( .

Very pretty in it's simplicity and elegance. Again, Daniel M does a fine job.

It's beautiful, Pixies!

Thats really turned out pretty!

Great idea to make the bezel deep enough to not have the culet touching you. I got my milgrain bezel pendant yesterday and I'm so happy, I might get another. Love Dan & Caren.

Wonderful bracelet, it's very well made. Delicate and elegant.

Oh my - that's gorgeous! Very delicate and the milgrain was a great touch! :cheeky:

Thank you pixies! Those are really helpful pics. I have a pair of cushions I want to make a dbty bracelet with - one's 0.7ct-ish, the other 0.5ish, so I'm concerned about the stones flipping and culets poking too.. they're antiques so at least they wouldn't be sharp, but I'm pretty sure it would still drive me nuts! Having the bezel go slightly deeper solves both problems, and the full bezel is definitely not making your garnet go overly dark

Beautiful!!! Dan & Caren did a fantastic job.

pixies-I was just catching up on on posts in Colored Stones and saw this thread. I absolutely love your garnet! The bracelet couldn't be more elegant! I'm a yellow gold lover (and a high karat gold lover) with a side penchant for rose gold, so I can't help wondering how this would have looked in rose gold. It looks absolutely fabulous in silver, however! Very classic and modern! Wear it in good health!
