Hi all, I''m new to writing but have been reading the posts about Richard Homer and decided that I had a good candidate for him, recut a change color sapphire ring of mine. I just got it back from Wink today and can''t begin to describe how beautiful the result is. I''ve attached a picture from Richard of the before and after, but again it does not do it justice. I just wanted to share and thank all of you for providing a great source of information about colored stones. My husband and I are urban prospectors of fine, unheated colored gems and now we can add the dimension of upgrading to a great cut. Thanks Wink, Richard and all of you that enhanced my knowledge about the value of a great cut.

Hi Teresa! Glad that you liked it as much as I did! That was a pretty ring you had it in too!. You just have to love FEDEX!

Wow! I'm speechless! That stone is amazing!!!

Wink, you sell Richard Homers' creations?

The before and after is such an amazing difference! I am thouroughly impressed.

Does Richard Homer have any connection to "Wobito" ? They have some interesting snowflake cuts that remind me of this work.

But of course! I hired Richard about a week before he graduated from GIA and introduced him to the man who originally taught him to facet stones. Richard has long since gone from being the student to being the master, but we have stayed strong friends!

If you go to his site, www.concavegems.com you can see many examples of his work, and if you mention my name you will get a 10% discount.

P.S. Richard not only finished his degree before starting work for me, but several years later was hired back by GIA as an instructor and he eventually designed and implemented their faceting course.

I do not know for sure, but I doubt that he has any connection with them.
