Thanks for all the wonderful comments. It makes me feel like I made a good choice since I had no input from my fiancee except that it be sparkley. I did a few months of research here at PS and went to many jewelry stores to practice what I learned. I bought the center stone from my mother's roommate in college who used to own a chain of jewelry stores in houston, tx but now only deals with wholesale diamond sales. I proposed the Thursday before Valentines day, she said yes and loves the ring. We are graduate students and live 650 miles apart. I will post the proposal and side pics of the ring when I get home.
