Ring in champagne flute

Has anyone seen the TV ad where the guy puts a diamond ring in his wife''s champagne while he''s waiting for her, and when she arrives the ditz immediately chugs back the whole glassful and swallows the ring without noticing?

The ad then says something like "You should have bought her a car as an anniversary present instead".

Me, I always check champagne glasses for diamonds ... you never know

And I gag swallowing half an aspirin, so a ring would definitely call for the Heimlich manoeuvre.

Nice to see someone (ie the car company) fighting back against De Beers advertising though, it''s about time someone stood up to them.

...meaning " a ring not swallowed is always better than a car" - so sweet... good old fight over luxury budget

She accepted his proposal in the Emergency Room when she saw the ring on her X-Ray.
