Ring modification finished….

Back in June of 2023 I asked for your advice on a colored stone to add to this ring.

On November 1, 2023 our oldest son passed away suddenly. As you may imagine and understand, a lot went by the wayside in our lives. The shock of losing him and the grief is a terrible thing. He loved jewelry, especially diamonds. He knew more about them than I did. Late last year I decided to have the ring made as a memorial to him. His birthstone, and mine, is sapphire. As a matter of fact, he was born the day after my 23rd birthday.

I took the ring and another ring with diamonds to my jeweler and went over a few details that wanted but I couldn’t say a lot about it. I just couldn’t. I did source the sapphire from James Allen and the main thing I requested from my jeweler was to “make it beautiful” ….just like our boy.

I picked up the ring on Saturday. It surpassed everything I asked for or thought I wanted. Every time I look at it I will think of our son. Maybe it’s more than a memorial ring, maybe it’s a ring to honor him because he’ll always be remembered. Thank you all for taking the time to read this update.
