What is the term if you want to go slightly bigger than a 5.5, but not quite a 5.75? I remember seeing a term for that.....

I'm asking because I used to be a 5.5, but now on my wider rings, I find 5.5 kind of restricting, especially frist thing in the morning. going a 1/4 size up is too much, so I just want them stretched out a little KWIM?

For those of you who have Signed pieces rings. Do the run bigger or smaller, or true to size? I'm worried because dh ordered my anniversary band (that I'm not suppost to know about) in a 5.5, and I'm worried that it might be too tight to wear stacked with another ring because the ring he ordered is 3.1mm, and I normally wear 2.5 mm rings.

I think I''ve seen people write 5.5+ for just a bit bigger than a 5.5

That would be a 5.5 FULL. Meaning just a tad bigger than a 5.5. And the term for going less is a 5.5 scant.

I''ve had several designers and jewelers tell me that it''s considered a "plus" size. Meaning that if you need a ring size that falls between 5.5 - 5.75 than you would request a 5.5+ size. That way the designer knows that you need a little larger than a 5.5, but not as much as a 5.75. It should be no problem for a jeweler or ring designer to modify the exact size of the ring to fit your finger. Hopefully that helps.

Thanks everybody! I never thought my finger would be a "full" or "plus" size haha. But I guess it is.

Now how about question 2 about Signed pieces rings......do they run bigger, smaller, or true to size?

They run true to size, I went to their store in NY. But be careful if you are ordering an eternity band as it can''t be sized later. You pretty much need to be sure of what size you need. HTH!!

My princess eternity band ran a bit smaller than I expected. I was sized by the jeweler as a size 6 but I like my rings a little looser so I ordered a 6 1/2. I''m glad I did b/c it fit like my size 6 rings fit.

I have exchanged the princess channel set one for a round prong set one, so when I get it I will let you know how it fits.
