All these precious, petite stones on dainty lil hands around here, sigh. They would probably look like a grain of sand on my man hands.

If you wear larger rings because you think they look more proportionate on your larger hands, please post them here to give ideas to the rest of us. Even better, full hand shots or even more distance than that. :)

I think I have hands a little on the mannish side. My late mom liked delicate little rings, and that's what she pushed me towards when I was younger. But, me - I like wearing one big ring on each hand. My hands can pull it off well.

Funny thing - my late paternal grandmother was a jeweler, and I remember going to dinner with her and my parents as a young child. She looked at my hands and said, "you have full hands!" Lol

What's a post without a photo, so here:

"Full" hands. Love it!

That's a great ring! Is it yours? What stone are you going to get for the middle? Oh, wait. I think there is a dark stone in the middle. Sorry, at first glance the pic looked like there was no stone there.

Hey, there's some emeralds and diamonds in it. Emerald in the center.

The ring finger on my left hand is size 6, which isn't huge, but my fingers are short. I wear a size small gloves. I don't know why my hands seem so "full." Lol

I don’t think my hands are too mannish because I’m tall...its just a matter of proportions. I don’t have much jewelry with me but I tried on this substantial ring the other day...the center is 3.16ct. I can definitely carry larger rings and substantial bracelets. I dont have anything really dainty.

This is a new favorite, a spinning ball ring. I could clear a shelf of canned goods with this ring but I got used to the size very quickly. It’s unconventional, a very fun piece to wear and definitely not dainty!

I have small hands with chubby fingers, and need to wear 8.5 US on the ring finger and at least 11 or even 12 US for the middle finger for the left hand.

Dainty rings with thin/narrow shanks do not look right on me, as I do not like the finger resembling a joint of meat tied up in a string, if you know what I mean.

I can post some of my bigger rings if you like.

DK :))

I understand completly your frustration
I have tiny hands and feet but short podgy piggy little fingers that need a large size ring
Its really hard to find gloves small enough
I like rings with wide bands
Im too clumsy to do relocate anything !

Wow !!!!!!

I think I have larger hands at size 7.5 but even larger arthritic knuckles. I bezel everything to get an extra oomph in size.
I like to remember what @missy says about our hands doing important and beautiful work and who gives a hoot what they look like. Something like that!

 I can relate!

I can so relate to this. I told my husband that since I have such large hands I need larger stones. He wasn't impressed with my logic  My knuckles seem to grow on a daily basis. And to make matters worse I fell and managed to land on my ring finger and now that knuckle is bigger than ever. Oh to have delicate little paws!

I don’t have any pics because it belongs to a friend who has short chubby fingers. She has this cluster ring which looks fabulous for finger coverage, it’s a cluster of several stones in a marquis shape (differently sized rounds) and it’s like 18mm long and maybe 10mm wide! Looks amazing on her hand because it basically comes to her knuckle!

I attached a picture from the internet to show what I mean. Hers has a halo, but it’s small baguettes, not rounds (have attached another Internet pic to show what I mean about that) Hers is done really finely and doesn’t look like one of those garish illusion set ones, its like a high quality ring! Doesn’t look like a single stone of course but still very pretty.
