Ok I hope no one minds me making a separate thread for these.. I received two emerald cut zircons from Roger Dery today. This is my first time seeing a zircon in person.. WOW!!!! I am so blown away! I am absolutely in love!! Rogers cutting is amazing, the color and sparkle is amazing, and I can't wait to buy another zircon! Very good experience buying from Roger!! Highly recommend. The zircons are around 5.55 carats combined. Not sure of the measurements. I took a couple pictures of my 'Blues' all together. So happy!

Congratulations! They are a beautiful pair. Are they Cambodian? I'm just starting to learn about zirconssame I got a few smAll ones to see how I like them. Those Blues you have are stunning. I know zircons are highly refractive. Are yours sparkly
and flashy? Do you have a setting in mind?

Glad to know that working with Roger was a good experience. Did you have them custome cut or did he have them in inventory ?

I love zircon and the fire they have! So bright and scintillating. I love material with hi RI. Congratulations on your beautiful gems!

Thank you! I'm actually not sure where they are from. I didn't think to ask! Maybe I will email him and check. Yes they are sooo sparkly!! I thought my Montana sapphire in my engagement ring was sparkly but I held it next to the zircon and let's just say I won't be doing that too often! Was kind of depressing lol. I didn't have them custom cut I actually found them on loupe troop and hadn't seen emerald cut zircons before. They looked beautiful so I had to have them. Oh and Rogers pictures did not do them justice. They are much nicer in real life!

They are so beautiful
Amazing colour and brilliance.
Glad you started a seperate thread.

Gorgeous! I loved those when I saw them on LT - so glad they have gone to a good home. And YES zircons are unbelievably sparkly!

Beautiful

Beautiful! Will you be making earrings?

Gorgeous, thanks for sharing!

DK

Thanks everyone! Yes I think earrings. I was originally thinking studs but now I'm not sure! I will have to play around with some ideas. Roger said he might have a bigger emerald cut zircon for me in the future so I can make a set! Can't wait! I hope it's big enough for me to make a cocktail ring. I love big rings!

They are insanely gorgeous! Congrats. Other look so much nicer in your photos, Roger's pics don't do them justice.

Very lovely, austinj! Excellent purchase. :D :appl: Can't wait to see what you do with them. <side note: I love your ring philosophy: "I hope it's big enough for me to make a cocktail ring. I love big rings!" hehe>

Those are gorgeous!

I wish Roger would list his prices on his website, it would be much easier to shop there! I have been on the site many times, but I hesitate to email him to ask for pricing. Even if you had to log in to get prices, that would be worth it for me.

Wow, those look amazing! I'm excited to see what you come up with for them, especially for earrings.

Seems like there's a flurry of beautiful blue-green stones being posted lately - not a bad thing at all :)

VERY pretty! Congrats. :appl:

Thank you! Haha Sparkliesluver yes I like my ring philosophy too :). I mean don't get me wrong there are some ugly big rings out there.. But if done right, they can really compliment the hand! I will probably just end up with simple studs for these guys. I am open to suggestions though! I had in mind something like the attached picture but I'll probably take Acinoms advice and do platinum instead of yellow gold.

Austinj- I love that you choose blue zircons. For me, I would maximize the sparkle and set them in earrings that allowed the light to play with them and bring out their brilliant sparkle. For example- simple dangle earrings.
