Rolex for my fiane''s wedding gift

Do you know if it is possible to get a men''s Rolex for under $1000? Which ones would go for about that much money?

Boy... I don''t think that''s very likely. Even used they are more than that (unless you use a vendor that might not have a stellar reputation -- which I do not recommend!). There are a lot of other nice watches though for under $1K; does it have to be Rolex?

Does not have to be a Rolex. I know he wants a new watch but I don''t want to get the standard Kenneth Cole watches that he always buys for himself. Any recommendation??

Hmmm... even on Signed Pieces (used jewelry), the price for a very basic men's Rolex is around $7,000 (original price of $9,000) -- http://www.signedpieces.com/item.cfm?item_id=7610. I think if you find something for under $1,000, it will either be very old and worn, or from an extremely unreputable source. Maybe consider a different brand?

Hmmmm... under 1k is hard for a very nice watch. All I can think of is maybe Movado? That is a good medium-priced brand. I''ll be interested to hear what other people suggest.....

(DH wears standard Kenneth Cole watches too, because he hasn''t found a nice one that he loves enough to spend the money on it, and it can be tough to find ones in that medium-priced range...)

What about Tag? Most places will discount them too, so you can find one that is nice and get a good deal on it!

A Wittnauer watch might be nice as well! They have some really nice pieces around the $850 price point.
