Hello, I need advice. Looking for a life long graduation gift and I am conflicted ebtween rolex two tone vs white gold — 28 mm or the same styles in 31 mm - not shown in pictures but it’s just bigger than what shown … I am 5’8” and very thin wrists … also have a forever Cartier love braclet in gold on my other wrist …. I never take offff …. Looking for a timeless look and something that will appreciate in value overtime …. A staple of my success and how far I have come … coming from humble beginnings 31B7C662-9DAD-4287-8C26-676A805A4CA2.png

Congratulations! I am not a fan of two tone, and to me a piece for life would be the white gold one. I have a yellow gold women's Date-Just and it is 31mm and I love it. The 31 mm is the perfect size and when you're as old as me you'll appreciate being able to see the larger face!

I’m a sucker for Roman numerals. Which one do you like best?

Huge Congraulations on your achievement and a Rolex watch makes an excellent reward.
Im a fan of two tone. Mainly because I wear both yellow and white metals and a two tone watch bridges that.
I have a vintage 18c Yellow Gold Rolex but prefer my two tone Reverso.
My disinclination towards white gold and Platinum in Rolex is that it looks like stainless steel. Nothing wrong with stainless steel but it is the lower price point.
I like the bigger size on your wrist, though my personal preference is for smaller. I collect vintage ladies watches and the small face is predominant.
I do like the Roman numerals, a bit more modern.
at the end of the day take your time and consider which appeals to you most.

I like the stainless steel with white gold bezel and diamond face … however I was told it doesn’t look like a Rolex in 28 mm

I do admit I tried on a Rolex recently and I did prefer the 31mm but I’m in my 50s and my eyesight is getting bad.

They all look like Rolexes. I say get the one you want and to heck with what anyone else thinks.

I love Rolex watches! My husband gifted me one for my birthday, and I absolutely adore it. I’d love to buy another one, but it’s quite a lot of money. Does anyone have advice on a cheaper watch that has a similar style and look?
