I am searching on the market for a tennis necklace. Budget around $4000.
In terms of the price, this 5ct from Ross Simons is really appealing http://www.ross-simons.com/products/570620.html
I am wondering if Ross Simons is a reputable retailer. Anybody has experience with them?

Actually not too many diamond tennis necklace can fit my budget. I also found another one form costco

Any suggestion will be appreciate. Thanks.

Ross Simon is good for several things. But for that tennis bracelet?

Color Grade: H-I, Clarity: I2, Weight: 5.00 ct. t.w. and from my personal experience their color and clarity statements are not GIA standards.

NO. The Costco one is much better quality. Their I VS quality is usually GIA standards.

Best thing about about Costco? Lifetime return policy as long as you don't alter it (size, change it). Do you what that means operationally? That means you can buy this one right now: http://www.costco.com/Round-Brilliant-2.70-ctw-VS2-Clarity%2c-I-Color-Diamond-18kt-White-Gold-Eternity-Necklace.product.11630806.html

Then in year or two you can return it, get your FULL PRICE back and upgrade to this one: http://www.costco.com/.product.11135734.html?cm_sp=RichRelevance-_-itempageVerticalRight-_-CategorySiloedViewCP&cm_vc=itempageVerticalRight|CategorySiloedViewCP Or another necklace with higher carat weight.

Personally though, if it was me? I'd call ID Jewelry. Ask for Yekutiel, show him the Costco one and the Ross Simon necklace and tell him you want that same style. Tell him you want "PRICESCOPE QUALITY EYECLEAN STONES in a 14kt white gold setting" and that your budget is 4k and you want the most bang for your buck he can provide. See what he can offer you. You will probably be very pleasantly suprised.

Gypsy's totally right. Ross-Simons is great for fun pieces but their diamond quality is really sub-par. I heartily second, ID or Costco.

Thanks for your reply.
My only concern about Costco is the tax...
I do not know ID Jewelry, are they good? I just searched and found ID and Yekutiel a good reputation.
I do not know if I can still get free return if the necklace is customized. But I will try. Thanks.

would you be open to pre-owned? You can find some amazing deals on ebay for this type of thing...look for someone with a nice return policy so if you get it and it's not as described you can return it- you can actually end up getting something much more than you bargained for. Many years ago I bought a 5CTW tennis necklace from an estate seller for around 4K, and when I had it checked out and appraised the diamonds were actually better quality than what the seller stated.

Just a thought =)

Gypsy is spot on.

I live in Rhode Island, where their home base is. I have been in their stores many times, under both of their names. And I agree with Gypsy that unless you get a solitaire with a report (and even then) their diamonds are not high quality (especially ones in diamond tennis necklaces/bracelets).

Call Leslie at BGD and show her and tell her what you want. You will get excellent quality.
