I just got a 5 stone ring made through a local jeweler. I am really loving everything about the ring and the jeweler was really great. I am also working with him on my new e-ring setting. Here is my SMTB on the ring:

I went with uncertifed stones (which I am totally fine with) so that I could apply money towards my e-ring. The jeweler knew that I wanted well matched, white, sparkly stones (which I got). The only thing was when I looked at the stones there did seem to be a slight variance in the end two stones but the jeweler said that it wouldn't be noticed once set. I asked if once set if I was unhappy could we exchange the stones and he said it would be no problem. So we proceed with the setting and I was able to have it the day before Thanksgiving. Well I have of course been admiring my ring and while doing so I was also looking at the profile to see if the difference was an issue. As I was doing this I noticed the girdles on 3 of the stones had a white appearance. At first I noticed it only on one of the diamonds and just about freaked out thinking I had chipped it. Then I saw that 3 of them were this way. Then I thought I had somehow scraped three of them but I ran my finger around the entire exposed girdles and it was the same the whole way around. I contacted the jeweler about it and he explained about the girdles, different polishes, etc.. and that we would need to swap out those stones to remedy it. I kind of feel bad because I am very detail oriented and had I know about the different girdle polish I would have mentioned it. When I looked at the stones unset I didn't notice this nor would I have known to ask. I feel bad about making him have to find new stones, unset, and then reset. He really has been great and I just don't know if I should make a big deal or just leave them as is... I do want to say he has been really great working with...
What do you say..
Here is a picture: from left to right the 1,3&4 diamonds..
Edited for spelling errors and such, I was in a hurry!
