I am trying to come up with wording for the RSVP for my desination wedding. At first I wasnt go to have RSVP cards, but I am leaning towards it now. A little background- we are taking a cruise to Bermuda and getting married at a hotel in Bermuda. Most of our guests are sailing with us on the cruise, but I just found out that some people are interested in staying at the hotel. I want cute wording but nothing too cheesey. So far I have

Don''t miss the boat!
Please RSVP by July 1st

Name:________________________

____ We are aboard!
____ Sorry, we are tide up!

Any other ideas, suggestions? Sound I add a third spot for people to say they are staying at the hotel or does the "We are aboard" include them?
Thanks so much!

I''m having a hard time replying since I''m a bit confused about how your event is happening....is everyone on the ship then getting off and going to the hotel for the wedding/reception, then going back to the ship that evening while you stay at the hotel?

In general I would just give guests two options to check, essentially attending or not attending. But please give more backround on how your event is structured, maybe we can give more specific answers that way.

We are taking the cruise to Bermuda. The ship arrives on Monday and departs on Tuesday. Our wedding will be on Monday evening at one of the hotels in Bermuda. My fiance and I and our guests will then go back on the ship and enjoy the rest of the cruise until Thursday. I just found out that a couple of our guests didn''t want to come on the cruise with us, but instead are going to Bermuda to stay at the hotel. I hope this makes sense.

If the only event you are asking for an RSVP for is the wedding then don''t worry about who will be on the ship vs. who will be at the hotel. Now if you think people will be confused and think the "we are aboard" means they are attending the cruise too-then you could add a third option.

But I think if you make it clear on the RSVP that they are RSVPing for the wedding only-you don''t need a third option.

any suggestions for other wording?

Oh yes, this helps alot!

I think Neatfreak''s advice about making the reply card be for the wedding/reception would be a nice way to go. Then you could also include an insert with the various travel options your guests have. Maybe also let them know that you are taking the cruise in case they want to be with you/the bridal party.

I might replace "aboard" with "on board," personally.

If you want the cutesy wording, there''s nothing wrong with your current idea!
