Rubellite Pendant Comes to Life!

With the help of my friends in the Colored Stone forum, I designed a pendant for a Rubellite that I bought recently and have just had it made. I''m pleased with the result but it''s a little heavier and chunkier than I imagined. I''m not complaining though because it sits beautifully on the neckline. Apologies for the lack of neck shots that I will try to rectify as soon as I can.

Firstly, here''s the loose stone ....

Then with the help of my friends, especially the lovely mr ma re, this was the design I settled on (bottom left). It uses 4 kite shape diamonds in the chain (a version of a DBTY) and then 4 princess cuts from another ring .......

I tried to take a photo of the whole necklace but it was just too far away so I settled on this one. The Rubellite looks very dark in this picture but it really isn''t!
