Salt and pepper or black diamonds?

So I know it’s kind of an off beat subject in the diamond world, but I really love the look of salt and pepper, and black diamonds.

I just think they are lovely. My first engagement ring was a beautiful round OEC F colored diamond, in a setting from BGD.

However, I became a widow after 11 years of marriage, and now that there is a possibility I could get married again… I don’t want this ring to have any similarities to my old one. So I have found myself drawn to very abstract things for this next ring.

Anyways after that long winded story, I was wondering where people would go to source these type of diamonds that are reputable? Thanks!

I got mine from CVB Inspired Designs. Misfit Diamonds is also a relatively popular curator of odd or unusual diamonds and they have a list of jewelers who use their stones you can order from.

Second Misfit Diamonds. You can search by the type of weird diamond you want.

Where are the prices on misfit diamonds?

May I ask in this thread the compromises a salt and pepper diamond might bring? As the situation regarding inclusions is obviously completely opposite to clear diamonds.

Is it possible to still have some sparkle, reflection or fire with a salt and pepper?

I would also expand your search to spinel - particularly if you are drawn to opaque black or translucent grey.
A black diamond and a black spinel will look almost identical but the price of a black spinel is so cheap.
Grey spinel accomplish that grey look without being overly included or cloudy.

Of course if it needs to be a diamond ignore me- but since you’re looking for something unique I thought I might mention it- not everybody know about that option.

@luxuryforme i do appreciate seeing that one. But posting it with the details and all violates the TOS here since you are in the trade. Thanks.
