...a ring!!!!
On the 30th, at my family''s big holiday party, the love of my life PROPOSED!
He dressed up as Santa to hand out the gifts to all of the little ones in my family (HILARIOUS!). Right after he changed he came back downstairs where all of my loving family was, still holding the bag that he used to carry the gifts in. He kept trying to get my attention but I was still opening presents.
After he finally got my attention (and everyone else''s) he announced that Santa had forgotten to hand something out and that there was something left in the bag. At this point I knew something was up and it seemed like everything was in slow motion! He asked me to reach in the bag. I did, and there was the ring box!
He took the ring box from me, got down on one knee, and with shaking hands and a trembling voice he asked me to marry him! This, the man who in the three years I have been in love with and who has never even batted an eyelash in nervousness, could barely steady himself! It was the most endearing thing I have ever seen. I started crying my eyes out and shaking myself. I was so overwhelmed I couldn''t speak.
Finally, my Aunt Besty yelled, "So Quinnie, what''ll it be?!" Of course I said yes! My family started cheering around me and congratulating us. Brian pulled out bottles of champagne and our whole family toasted.
After everything calmed down he whisked me away to a romantic night at the Hilton
It was the most amazing moment of my life, and I have the most amazing man in the world as my Fiance (AHH!!).
