I’m hoping you all might be able to point me in the right direction to find a stone that I feel like may not even exist (or may and I’m just bad at stringing words together in the right way to find it.) I’d like to find a substantially sized (3ish ct) sapphire in the lilac/lavender/ blush or even white category, with what I can only describe as an icy sort of color shift. Some of the pictures I’ve attached show the iridescence I’m hoping to get in a stone, so hopefully those are going to be more useful showing what I mean. I’m open to most shapes, but I’d like something with as much sparkle as possible, and I’d obviously prefer something that isn’t cut like an absolute mess or full of inclusions. My budget is pretty flexible, but I’d like to keep it under $4000 if I can. Even if any of you just have some key word pointers I could use to search on my own, I’d be so, so thankful as I seem to routinely be hitting walls in all my searches. Thank you all in advance for any help you can give!

You should check out the website. Maybe you can ask him if he has any more gems than what is listed.

What about this ring by Leone Mege? It's a 3.4ct spinel and the color is a beautiful pastel lavender. There are two videos that show the color better than the pic. It's $5,600 but you can offer a slightly lower rate. Be warned, the lower rate, if accepted, means no returns. I've actually had my eye on this ring for a while and if I had the extra cash to spend, it'd already be mine.

So buy from a seller who will let you return the gem if “in the flesh” it does look as you want.
And we aware that lighting conditions can seem to change the colour (a lot). I just have an iPhone.
My two are, in real life, a pale lavender and a pale blue, yet under LED ring light they seem a lot darker.
The other photo is just inside daylight on my hand. They are the same sapphires in each photo!

I love it too! I think I have gone slightly mad recently because I feel like the price is not that bad for the whole ring? It's maybe because I've gotten high quotes recently which I felt were unjustified from B&M places which obviously are not even to be compared to Leon.

I went back and read your first post and I sort of imagine I see what you mean about the iridescence bit. While the Leon ring is very gorgeous and not too badly priced (in my opinion) it's a different look from that dreamy iridescent appearance of the stones you listed so something to keep in mind. It's quite a bit bluer than your reference stones. I think you want a bit more pink.

You are not alone. I keep convincing myself that it’s a Leon ring so for the gem and the setting, it’s practically a bargain.:lol: It may not be right for the OP but I couldn’t not post it. You know? Just in case. :mrgreen2:

I really hope you end up getting it Elle! :mrgreen2: It will be right at home along with your other gorgeous rings!

Thank you all for your help! Some of the gemfix stones are pretty close, so I might go with one of those or at least send out a couple messages to see if anyone has anything they haven’t listed. That ring isn’t what I had in mind, but man, it’s so gorgeous. I love the spinels, too, but I’m worried they won’t hold up as well. I think the obvious solution is probably just to buy everything!

@JazzyWG - I’m not a gem expert like many of the wonderful people on this forum but I visited Gemfix in person last week. Andrew and Laura have are absolutely wonderful to work with and I think you’ll find them easy to deal with if you have to make a return. So many beautiful stones there!
