Sapphire and diamond ring by David Klass

I wanted to make a custom ring that was reminiscent of a piece of, well, costume jewelry that I ended up wearing in lieu of wedding rings during my pregnancy with my son. David did a great job of taking my vague input and turning into something that is so delicate and finely-detailed.

This is a 1.03ct natural heat-only Sri Lanka/Ceylon sapphire from Gemfix, 10 point side round diamonds, and melee. I think I got the sapphire a bit grubby, it has a nice polish.

Oh, no, it's inspired by a piece of costume jewelry that I wore during pregnancy when my fingers were too big for my rings.
