I have been ''lurking'' for a while trying to figure out what my ''new'' engagement ring should look like! OK, so I have been married for 13 years without one...but now is the time - long story! I have always loved sapphires but I''m unsure about the setting. My wedding band is a 1/2c white gold/diamond channel setting. I have looked at lots of settings - I like modern, clean lines but I''ve also looked at halos. Is there any way to do this style in a modern way (a plain shank, large enough diamonds so it doesn''t look ''antique'') I''m concerned that the ring needs to sit fairly close to my wedding band. I have small hands/size 5 finger. All suggestions/pictures appreciated. It seems easier to choose a diamond ring....lots of specs etc. Where do I start with my dream sapphire?????
