Hi ladies!

I am agonizing over completing my address list (just a few more left!) but I have a question for you. I am printing the envelopes, but would like to formally address them, like for a wedding invitation. In other words, I am spelling everything out, appropriate titles, etc.

Several people gave their address in this form:

123 Any St.
#4
Detroit, Michigan

What do I do with the #? Do I write out "Number Four" (as in this case) or do I put "Apartment Four" in there? What if it is not an apartment, but a unit, or not either, just #? I feel silly going back to people and asking which it is!

What would you do?

What a silly thing to be agonizing over! Thanks for any guidance on this, guys!!

I don''t know if this helps or if it''s correct, but when I came upon this issue, I did it like this:

1234 - 11 Any Street,
Detroit, Michigan

When it was a condo, I wrote it as a suite:

1234 Any Street, Suite 11
Detroit, Michigan

Spell out Apartment and take off the #

123 Any Street
Apartment 4
Detriot, Michigaan

That is how we did them for STD's, and our calligrapher did them for our invitations.

ETA: We only had one or two that were not apartments, and we just put a comma after the address... (I believe)

123 Any Street, 31R
Detriot, Michigan

You guys are so helpful! Thanks! I am trying to find a way to print on these 4Bar envelopes, it''s proving to be difficult! We are trying a couple of printers today, hope it works!

Thanks again for your help, I think I will go with Meresal''s suggestion to put a comma after the address when it is not an apartment, or is not indicated. STDs are arriving today or tomorrow, I will post pics when they come!!!

I just used "Apartment ___" for every invite, whether they had used unit, #, apt, etc. I figure the postal service will figure it out

They're just looking at the numbers anyway.
