I asked about the following round diamond yesterday and received some great comments. And, fyi, it is eye-clean.

The only thing that kind of makes me think twice about it is that it looks to be a little cloudy to me. I did another search and found this one that looks better to me.

Is it worth the extra money or should I stick with my original selection? With the discount, the difference is $700 and I know this isn't too much money but I've already gone over my planned budget. But with that being said, when you're talking about roughly 8k, what's $700? I haven't spoken with Jamie from WF yet and plan on asking her if its eye-clean.

I've never bought a diamond so I don't know when either of these are set, will there be a big visual diffence? Here again is the setting.

Thanks again for the help.

I prefer the second diamond..color better and the arrows are slightly thinner.

jrob, either one of those will be gorgeous. And both will be crystal clear in real life. These are ACA''s and they don''t get much better than this.

So go with what you can afford, you won''t be dissapointed.

I actually prefer the idealscope on the first one...and I love the I color! I don''t see any cloudiness, but have you asked Whiteflash about your concern?

brian isn''t going to sell ''cloudy'' aca''s. if one pic looks different, it is probably the resolution of the image. they are both lovely, you can''t go wrong either way.

I have spoken with Lesley from WF. She said that both diamonds were extremely comparable except for the color. Both were eye clean. I decided to get the H-colored one. I just felt better about looking at it. I do like the first one''s idealscope better than the second but under the magnification pix, the first looked greyer. Does that make sense? I also know if I didn''t get the second one, I probably regret not getting the one I liked more. Like I said, $700 isn''t too much when you''re spending around $8k.

Thanks again for the response. I''ll post pix of it as soon as I have a chance.

Now I get the chance to start looking at eternity style wedding bands. Any ideas or suggestions?

i totally agree.

congrats on your purchase!

are you trying to decide on what size diamonds to put in the eternity band or the style in general?

Style in general. I think she prefers something a little more delicate to sit next to the E-ring.

Congrats on your purchase!

Just for future reference, what belle said is true about the pics (and she''s one of the most knowledgable posters on here), it''s just the resolution, or lighting. I make this statement about ACA''s only, they don''t get much more beautiful, it''s a sure bet. I would just hate to see you pass one up because of the pic.

alj has .05pt''ers in her band. you can''t get much more delicate than that without sacrificing too much sparkle.

do you think she would like a straight band, or maybe a slightly curved custom band?

thanks ellen. coming from someone as knowlegeable as yourself, that is a nice compliment.

Well...everyone helped me change my mind once again. Jamie from WF called back on regarding a shipping issue and I asked her opinion on the two diamonds. She discussed it with Brian who thought the original diamond was the way to go. They both agreed with Belle that both diamonds looked identical when sitting side by side.

I haven''t changed my mind this much since high school but I feel with the help of this forum that I made a good decision.
