seeking oval Chrysoberyl, tiny rose-cut diamonds

Hi,

I am seeking a well cut oval Chrysoberyl, yellow but picking up some green, about 9x5mm or so, to go into an antique rose gold ring that currently holds a simulated ruby with a rose cut diamond surround. Also seeking some tiny rose cut diamonds, as when I tried to clean this ring several of the chips fell out. The ones that fell out were poor qualify -- I wouldn't mind replacing them with better quality if I can find them.

Thanks!

Fel

Once you find your new center stone (or have it custom cut), I'd ask Singlestone if they can replace the rose cuts and set the center stone.

Thanks for the suggestion Diamondseeker. I will need someone good to reset the stones without everything falling apart!

Here's some pictures of the ring, btw. I am not certain the ruby is simulated, but given the age and the price I paid I am assuming it is. I only lost one of the rose-cut diamonds, but the other 2 are so chippy I would prefer new ones.

I have some tiny antique rose cuts that I bought from a PSer awhile ago. I was going to make a DBTY bracelet out of them but never got around to it. There are 7 stones that are apprx 1tcw. They are extremely white, and they are eyeclean from hand distance to my eyes. They are not perfectly round and some edges have flea bites. 1 stone has a small chunk missing. I am trying to describe all of the stones accurately, but they are really pretty IRL. I'd let them go for what I paid - $125 + shipping. Let me know if you're interested or want more pictures and I can create a listing on LT.

If fel doesn't want them, I'll be happy to purchase them from you! I've been looking for some rose cuts for quite some time now.

Great! I'll give Fel a bit to reply, but I'll create a LT listing and link it here.

Can you go with 8.12 x 6.46 x 4.96? I know it's shorter and fatter, but wasn't sure about your wiggle room. This has been lost at the bottom of loupetroop (haven't had time to relist) but it's still for sale. It definitely shows green, but it shifts back and forth from more yellow to more green, depending on the lighting. It is a very good cut, I just don't need three unset Chrysoberyls.

Thanks for the replies... I was offline the last few days.

With regard to the chryso -- let me stop by my jewelers -- hopefully this week, to see what range of sizes could fit.

With regard to the rose cuts-- the ones I need are really pretty small (~2 mm). Can you give me a sense of the size of yours? I am assuming you want to sell them all together? Does the other potential buyer need all 7 of them? I could use 2 or 3 if they are small enough.

Best,
Felicia

You have first dibs, as it was your request that I'm simply tagging on to. If they are small enough for you, take what you need and I'll simply purchase the rest.

Hi liaerfbv,

Please let me know the size of the rose cut diamonds, and if you would be willing to sell me 2. If they are too big I may be able to take the chippy one and have it polished down...

They are not all the same size, but they are definitely bigger than 2mm. I can't find my calipers right now but I'd estimate the smallest at 3mm and the largest at 4mm. I'd really rather sell them as a lot. I had them evaluated for recut when I bought them (to make the sizes uniform) and was told it wouldn't be recommended. Let me know if you think they'd still work for you!

If fel decides that she doesn't want them, I'll surely buy them from you!

Hi,

It looks like it won't work for me, because 3mm would be too big for this ring. SereneRoc --if you end up not needing all of them, think about flipping to me the chippy ones so can grind them down for my ring.

Best,
Fel

Will do!
