Hi All - I am looking at a couple of options for an engagement ring and would like to hear some second opinions as I am not able to view these diamonds in person. They are very similar in L:W, Cut, Clarity, Carat but have some differences in Depth %, Table %, Symmetry, etc.

Here are the two GIA#s and stones on StoneAlgo
A jeweler told me to go with 2496306840 because the other diamond has noticeable dark spots. I've also been told that a table percentage of 63% is better than 68% and that you want low depth on an emerald cut?

@Karl_K can you comment.

The first one has steps that do not look "sharp" under the table but its probably just the photo setup.

By "dark spots" do you mean dark steps (with respect to the second stone)?

Here is another pic/display of the stone, maybe this photo setup helps more?:

This is the only video that works for me.
The center area is kinda lifeless by not flashing at all under small movement. Turning the way it is can cause that but its beyond some.
The long sides are showing obstruction but are likely fine in person.
Overall has some potential.
You never know for sure until you see them in person.

Thanks for the advice. Here is another angle on another site: https://dreamstone.com/loose-diamon...tm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=stonealgo.com

When you say lifeless what do you mean? You are not seeing the "hall of mirrors" and are just looking straight through the diamond?

What gives an EC life is flashing with slight side tilt and dances in the light.
Combine that with pleasing face up patterns and you have a very very very nice EC.

Hey, you should check out this new site, www.yourdiamondguys.com. It’s got this cool AI that scans for inclusions and weeds out the bad ones, so you only see the best diamonds with nice imperfections. Plus, there’s tons of info on there to help you out.
