Selling my 1.81 ct M/VS1 OEC in Custom Platinum Setting

I'm selling my OEC to free up funds for another project. It's an EGL certified 1.81 carat old European cut diamond in a custom hexagonal platinum bezel setting. This stone throws off tons of fire and big flashes of light. Though it's certified as an M, it faces up tremendously white in nearly all lighting conditions. All said, this ring is a stunner. Size 5.5, sizeable.

It's listed for $9950, which is less than I paid, but I will entertain reasonable offers and am happy to answer questions - just ask!

Final reduction - for PSers only! I'm dropping the price to $7,000-even. (Listings on DB, LT and ebay will remain at the current price.) This stone has gone from JbEG to two PSers who have both loved it. I would love for it to find a home with another member of our little community.

It is a beautiful, bright stone with a sleek setting that is a nice mix of modern style and vintage inspiration. Numerous people have told me that this setting does an exceptional job of making this M look incredibly white. It also gives the benefit of making the face up size over 9.5 mm. I'm only selling because I've decided I want to go in a different direction for my forever ring.

A sale will include the EGL certificate, the appraisal for the loose stone (if desired) and a three day inspection period (provided no alterations are made to the ring).

I'm dying. This is the fifth time I've looked at this stone. I just LOVE the setting. If I didn't already commit funds for a project that is getting finished in December, I would risk giving my DH a heart attack for this gorgeous ring... Hope a PSer snaps it up quickly!!

Another wistful PSer here This would be an upgrade from my current stone-a bezel setting AND if I sell my e-ring I could actually come out ahead even after buying it!

Alas my husband is sentential about my set...I've tried a few different times to get him to sell it and get something more my tastes (and smaller which this is not lol) but it's STUNNING.

Have you reached out to GOG or JBEG to consign it? They may even buy the stone out right (not sure the price but doesn't hurt to ask!)

For now I'm not planning on consigning or selling it to a reseller. Given that I want to use the funds for another project, selling it directly lets me keep the price low while still recouping enough to have something new for myself. Thanks for the nice comments and advice though!
