So I haven''t sold any of my jewelry or clothing or shoes from the wedding. I''m such a packrat. Particularly with the jewelry. Like it''s gorgeous but where am I going to wear giant chandelier earrings again? And they weren''t cheap!

Anyways I think my worn once silver sedaraby manolo''s need to go. I seriously only wore them for the ceremony how sad is that? I was poking around ebay but I saw that sales are down, of course. You can still buy that at Barney''s and places like that so there''s not THAT much of a shortage on them, maybe in sizes. I do wear a more common size. I just don''t want to settle for a lot less than I think they are worth.

So sell now or try to, or hold out a few more months??

Hi Violet-

First, I would monitor the department store websites and see when most sell out before the next shipment arrives. The Silver Sedaraby are part of the Classic Collection and therefore don''t go on sale. They do however, run out between shipments and have to have a waiting list.

They usually run out between the end of August and the beginning of October. I know NM and Barneys get the massive seasonal shipments the last week of October, last week of January and last week of May.

I would make sure that the major stores don''t have them in my size and then post them before the shipments come in.

A major factor in the pricing after market is the heel height. Most department stores only carry the 90mm heel height while the MB Boutiques only carry the 105mm.

Most resale purchasers place a higher premium on the higher heel height. I know several girls who are still waiting for the silver ones because the boutiques still have a waiting list, but they won''t buy the 90mm no matter the cost. I went to Las Vegas to purchase mine even though all the department stores had them in my size at a lower heel height. I just waited and picked them up the next time I was in Vegas.

Hope this helps!

Thank you! I was just thinking the same thing today about how the stores run out of them for months at a time.

Which is the standard size the 90mm? I"m pretty sure I have the 90mm from Bergdorff Goodman. I''m suprised they are so unpopular. It seems like a lot of people have it in the lower heel. My DH is 5'' 7" and I''m 5'' 3" so the 3 1/2 inch heel looked fine I thought. All very good to know though thank you for your insight!

I don''t think that the lower heel is unpopular, in fact, most brides prefer it for comfort.

I think that you can get a very decent return (anything over $450) on the pair that you own. But I honestly wouldn''t expect much over that based on the fact that if a woman has over $500 to spend on shoes, she''s probably going to be able to scrape up the $615 that Bergdorf is still selling the new ones for. Especially when you consider that in there isn''t a Bergdorf in most states (and therefore, no sales tax) and they offer free shipping on most purchases over $500.

This is just my two cents. I''m sure that there are many women who will think differently.
