Setting advice please

I have a WF 1.ct ACA that I am going to set in a 6 prong platinum setting for a right hand ring.
I have these 2 ideas for my ring, the lotus petals is my first choice but then I wonder if there will be a lot of metal in with the prongs in the basket area? My second choice the trellis design a lesser amount of metal on the prongs but I would like the prongs to be at 1, 3 5 pm etc. I have not been able to find any photos of a trellis setting with this orientation which makes me thing it’s not possible?
Would you have any advice so I can prepare a wish list of what I would really like for the jeweller.

If you are going the custom route I vote for lotus and ask for less metal and a more “dainty, refined” look.

Is the top one an 8-prong setting? There's a prong on either side L and R, and 3 in the middle, which means there's 3 in the middle opposite, so 8 total. That may be a lot for a 1ct stone...

I would be going for the lotus petal style but with just 6 prongs.

Probably. Plus, I think reducing the metal should be an easy fix since it sounds like you want the thickness of the trellis metal in the lotus design.

We have been in lockdown for the last 3 weeks so all thought of my ring setting has been put to the back of my mind.
I received an email today, my setting has been made and my diamond could be set next week.
I didn’t get the opportunity to see any CAD images, should I be worried? I am not in the USA so likely that it’s not the done thing here to share CAD drawing.
I have asked for a photo in the meantime.
