Setting for a cleftless heart

I just bought this 5.5 x 5.5 mm 80 point cleftless heart, and I need to get ideas on some mountings. LOGR has nothing that would fit this stone, and I don''t want to spend an absolute fortune on a setting. I spend enough as it is on colored stones. Any ideas? I assume this would be much nicer in yellow gold. Perhaps there is an LOGR idea out there, or one of the other competitors that I can modify for a mounting. I would prefer a halo, but since this a cleftless heart, I don''t see one out there.

The stone should be arriving next week.

I much prefer a cleftless heart than one with a cleft. I think the cleft kind of cheapens the cut.

I was hoping for a trillion halo around it though. LOGR has some trillion settings but they''re too big. This is a 5.5mm x 5.5mm stone.

Yellow gold bezel - the more karats the better! Or a semi bezel with some flush set white accents maybe? And for a really fabulous look; high karat gold and cognac diamond melee!

TL thank you for putting me out of my misery and buying that stone! I''ve been looking at it for some time-can''t wait to see your pics of it . I love how she called it safron colored, because that''s exactly what it looked like in her pics! A 2 tone setting would be lovely with it.

So I take it you have purchased from that seller before? She came recommended by a PS'er (I think you or cushoncutnut - I always get your names confused

). I'm glad I wasn't the only one eyeballing it. She told me it looks exactly like the picture, and it's very sparkly, no milky appearance at all, and it's not cognac. I've always wanted one that color, and while heart cuts are not my thing, I loved the color so much, I decided to get it.
