For those who are interested in the setting I purchased from diamondmounts, I did receive it.

here's their picture:

Specs on the setting is as follows:

Item Weight (Grams) 4.21 Grams

Metal Type(s) solid 14K White Gold (Had them make it in 18K white gold)

Ring Size 6.5(US) sized to 8 US

Width Top 16.35 mm Width Bottom 1.55 mm

Diamond weight: 0.60CT G-H/SI Round

My pictures are terrible (sorry, its night time and the lights I used are BLAH) however, I will say that my initial inspection was that the setting visually looked pretty good. The diamonds do have a hint of yellow at some angles but given what they are, thats expected. No black spots visible with the naked eye. That for me is good enough considering they're 1mm stones. They also sparkle a lot. Thats no doubt due to the fact they're single cut.

The setting itself is ok. The weight of the setting is all in the head. The band unfortunately is very thin. Even some of my cheaper LOGR settings have better bands.

Now that said, it does feel a bit lighter in weight to me. I don't have a digital scale, but when put against a setting that is similar to their advertised weight in 18K, you do feel the difference. Thats quite a drawback for me.

I did measure it out the head and the opening which does measure pretty true. The diamond rows look very straight to me, as well as consistency of color from one to the next.

In some of my pics they look dark but thats because my (big) head kept getting in the way.

Thanks, Arcadian, for the info. It's always great to learn more about the ebay sellers. Any plans for this particular setting?

Welcome as always. I think that they're ok, but I wouldn't say they're my first choice. Being that they're also limited on english I would hesitate to purchase if I had a lot of changes to be made.

I purchased a really gorgeous stone from AJS which is going to be its new home.

It's a nice setting. Have you purchased from LOGR lately? My settings from him within the past 6 months just don't compare to the ones I purchased earlier on. They are now thin and very late .. pave not done as "sturdy".

I just won a LOGR setting from one of his original designs. I will be able to see if this original design is as heavy as the one I purchased last year.

Charmy, the latest one I purchased was the butterfly one. Now personally that one really is a favorite and built very well. Some of the ones prior to that were ok. The legacy inspired one was quite substantial in weight and the diamonds looked super clean. I have 2 more on their way. :saint:

Some of the more dainty ones I have do have thin bands, but it fits their size.

There's one I didn't totally love but I might with the right stone. On the larger settings, none of the bands are super thin as this one, about on par with what I've purchased last year I would say. I'd have to take a look and really compare when I get home tonight.

I think the pave jobs on mine have actually gotten better! I have them checked prior to setting just to be sure. So far my jeweler has said they've all been fine. I've luckily never had any pave fall out *knock on wood*

Thanks for the feedback. I never had a problem with melee falling out until recently. Two melees fell out during setting.
