For those who are interested in the setting I purchased from diamondmounts, I did receive it.
here's their picture:
Specs on the setting is as follows:
Item Weight (Grams) 4.21 Grams
Metal Type(s) solid 14K White Gold (Had them make it in 18K white gold)
Ring Size 6.5(US) sized to 8 US
Width Top 16.35 mm Width Bottom 1.55 mm
Diamond weight: 0.60CT G-H/SI Round
My pictures are terrible (sorry, its night time and the lights I used are BLAH) however, I will say that my initial inspection was that the setting visually looked pretty good. The diamonds do have a hint of yellow at some angles but given what they are, thats expected. No black spots visible with the naked eye. That for me is good enough considering they're 1mm stones. They also sparkle a lot. Thats no doubt due to the fact they're single cut.
The setting itself is ok. The weight of the setting is all in the head. The band unfortunately is very thin. Even some of my cheaper LOGR settings have better bands.
Now that said, it does feel a bit lighter in weight to me. I don't have a digital scale, but when put against a setting that is similar to their advertised weight in 18K, you do feel the difference. Thats quite a drawback for me.
I did measure it out the head and the opening which does measure pretty true. The diamond rows look very straight to me, as well as consistency of color from one to the next.
In some of my pics they look dark but thats because my (big) head kept getting in the way.
