Setting/Mount by Diamonds by Lauren?

It looks like a SingleStone setting!

They have had Single Stone make some of their settings because I have one saved of the same style that Yenny has but with a yellow antique cushion cut stone. I do not know for sure about this particular setting, but I would deal directly with Single Stone if it is theirs. That setting is two tone to enhance the yellow color of the stone. I know SS has made settings like that as I have some saved (because I LOVE it!!).

Oh my gosh. I should have known/ You are both right. It looks like single stone. Everything they make I fall in love with. Before I leave this earth (and if the Good Lord's willing and the crick don't rise) my AVR will be set in a single stone setting!!

Thanks a bunch!

I am with you 100% on that (although I am more sure how I want to set an AVC than my AVR)! I hope to see some in May as a jeweler in Charleston, SC has some of their rings!

What is in May and who is the jeweler? I live in Virginia. Charleston is not that far away.

My poor AVR has shrunk. Darnedest thing I have every seen. :Up_to_something: The LJN setting, I think because it is wide at the top near the diamond, seems to make the diamond appear smaller ... or maybe it's just DSS. Anyway, I have loved Single Stone from the beginning. I'm not sure what a diamond halo will do to my L colored diamond. Most of the time now it appears pretty white but I don't want a bright white halo to wash it out.

I would think SingleStone would have a whole heap of expertise in matching lower colored antique stones with halos so this would be a no brainer for them. My GIA L is currently being set in a G halo - I have no problem with that colour difference because the diamonds are so small they are there to enhance the stone. But everyone feels differently about colour variances. I would contact SingleStone - maybe they have an example or two they can send you some photos of?

I was very seriously considering buying that ring!!! It was so beautiful!

I'd get quotes from both for the same setting. They are using the same bench but one may have a better rate than the other and therefore pass the savings onto you. The only reason I'd lean towards SS (even if they are $$ than DBL) is because Ari will move heaven and earth to make you happy. His customer service is second to none. I'm not saying that David's isn't, I haven't worked with him so I don't know one way or the other.

Unfortunately, I think David at DBL is very strict about his no outside stones policy. I'd trust him to find a nice stone for you, but if you're wanting to BYOD ("bring your own diamond"), don't get your hopes up.

Hi All!
The setting in question was made for us by Single Stone.
It's lovely in person.
It's also true that we are so busy with our own production that we are not accepting outside stones at this time.
I agree to that Ari is great to work with.
