My spinel is about 8x6 and I know I want a thin bezel with milgrain in YG. I thought I wanted a sliding pendant, but now I am having trouble deciding if maybe I would want a s,all bail instead....

Originally, I wanted a very simple look... like I was ONLY wearing this bright red stone in the hollow of my neck, but I also kind of like how a bail elongates the vertical aspect of the pendant too...

And then...I found a picture of a sliding pendant but not bezel set... claw set and I found it looked pretty good with as little metal as possible...

Decisions decisions! I am having trouble finding a picture of a simple bezel set pear sliding pendant...if anyone finds one, please let me know. Also, should I go for bezel or the claw/prong set? I want as much light hitting it as possible!
here are a few pictures of my spinel and inspirational photos....

Tough choices. What are you leaning towards?

I like the last photo best- however I have a necklace like that (pear shape with the diamonds on the chain, it's really similar) it can be a bit annoying. As you know chains tend to slide around on your neck. But when it's all one piece it can take the pendant with it and it drives me crazy! So I basically have a yellow diamond pendant that doesn't get worn.

I actually like the metal work on the middle photo. I have that photo saved in my inspiration folder, I just love that pendant. Here's what I would do if I were you, combine all of them.

I would have a separate chain to avoid the annoying sideways pendant on the neck thing, but keep the diamond on the top of the pear and hide your bail there. I like that look, it's classic and elegant. If you really want a bezel you could bezel the diamond at the top and keep the pear set like the first photo. It's a fun look and will enable you to buy a smaller diamond. Then I would have a pretty gallery created for the back and or sides of the setting (a setting like the top pic). I love that stuff, even on my rings where no one will see it. But I think it's important with a pendant since it will flip from time to time.
