SF Gem + Mineral Society show?

It looks like the SF Gem + Mineral Society is having their annual show next month:

Has anyone been to this show in the past, and know what it's like? I don't really have a shopping list, and am fairly new to the CS world. It seems like this might be a good chance to see some things in person, and it's pretty close. But, I really have no idea what to expect from the event!

Its a small show with a mix of things - specimens, tools, minerals and rough, and some faceted stones. It seems that the vendors know each other and its fairly warm and collegial. I wouldn't go, though, with my heart set on finding something.

Sounds like it might be right up my alley. If something awesome jumps out serindipitously, cool, if not, sounds like a good place to just wander and take things in. Hopefully the weekend stays free on the calendar!
