I think I have finally decided on my wedding shoes!
I will be having these shoes custom made through the Christian Louboutin boutique. I know this is the style I want, but I am stuck on the color. The SA has not sent any swatches yet but had asked that I give her my top three choices so she can find out what''s available before she emails me. The three I told her were golden yellow, fuschia, and ivory. These are the reasons I picked the three:
1. Golden yellow - I am Indian and in my culture we wear yellow saris as our wedding dresses for the ceremony. I went to India a few weeks ago to shop for my wedding attire/jewelry and my aunts basically said that brides wear whatever color they want these days and told me to pick whichever color sari I liked. I tried on a bunch of different fabrics and loved a bright peacock blue silk. My whole family loved it on me and that''s what we went with. Deep down though I know my mom was hoping I would wear a yellow sari. Since I am not doing a yellow sari, I thought yellow shoes may be a nice homage to my culture. It will also be a very pretty contrast with the peacock blue sari and also my ivory wedding gown. The only downside is that it may be hard to match with my wardrobe after the wedding.
2. Fuschia - similar to (but a bit brighter than) the pic I have posted. Just a really fun color and will go with a lot of my wardrobe after the wedding! I am a big fan of pinky-purples in general!
3. Ivory - traditional bridal shoe! This will have the baby blue insole like all the other ivory bridal CL''s. I should be able to dye them after the wedding but I don''t know if I like the idea of dyeing the shoes (if they don''t turn out well, etc).
The design will be the exact same as the pic. The brooch will be on the shoe, the fabric is satin, the heel is 100 mm, and the soles will be red as usual. These are going to be pretty pricey since they are custom and non-returnable so I want to get some advice before I take the plunge. I am also open to any other colors that are not mentioned here!
Thank you!
