Originally I ordered a pair of Grace slingbacks from Bellissima for a *gasp* small price of 141.00 plus shipping and tax. I decided that although the would really match the dress, I just didn''t like the very pointy toe on them. Think elf without the upturn.
So, I ordered more shoes from ZAPPOS. Wonderful place, ZAPPOS. 365-day a year return as long as you haven''t worn them. No need to tell them why - they don''t care. FREE overnight shipping. NO sales tax. Prices are pretty darn good, too.
Well, none of the ZAPPO shoes are just right either -- although the ones in my avatar are an OK choice if need be. So pretty much all will go back. Easy to do with ZAPPOS; no prob.
But, Bellissima needed to go out today to be within the 10 day return policy. Subliminally (sp?) I think I hung on to them (ignoring their *gasp* cost) because I wanted them to be THE PAIR. I have a B&W photo in my ''bride''s book'' I cut out of a KNOT mag, sometime last year, as an example of what I was looking for. I guess I''m reluctant to give up the dream. So now I own a pair of ivory silk satin beaded slingbacks I may never wear because I''m obviously nuts!
Tell me I''m not alone here. Please.
