I want something for daytime, as comfortable as I can get away with.
I have skinny little bird legs, so a chunky shoe look like heck on me.
Pumps would be too dressy, so maybe an open strappy sandal, but what color?

red! these are cute. a little pricy though. hold on, i have another.

red shoes, with red earrings, and no other accesories, and pull your hair back probably. these are naturalizers, $55 on zappos.

I love red or natural or black with it, even a lower wedge with a natural bottom and color on the top...

I put my red peep toe pumps on and a red cropped short jacket,
but DH said way too much. I agree, looked like a costume. I do like the idea
of natural, but I don''t want too casual.

what about a red kitten heel mule, with white or off white stitching and then a more fitted cardigan?

i would not do color at all with that dress...it seems really bright on it''s own so to me adding red would definitely look too costumish. is that white piping? or cream? there are some really cute white and creamish/natural strappy sandals out and about right now, like i think banana has some cream patent leather ones which are super cute in person...i totally want them. have you gotten out and into the stores? i would almost say take the dress to the mall and actually check stuff out in person. that might be a hard one.

There is no stitching or piping on the dress.
DF - yeah I''m thinking a lower heel thong or strappy sandal, natural.
I have several of the newer crop jackets, that I''ll try with it, one is a light kakhi
color. If those don''t work, I''ll try a crop sweater.

Mara, I''ll get out to our Galleria this Friday. I have 3 other dresses coming from
Neiman''s and Saks, so I was hoping to get them before I make the 50 minute drive into
Houston. I can make a quick return on thoses dresses if they don''t work.

I''ve just discovered the joys of a dress. They are so easy! And feminine!

i think a natural colored shoe and the khaki jacket could look awesome!

oh how odd it looked like there was a stitch of white piping along the front there! i still see it but maybe it''s a shadow or something.

with no piping i would totally do a khaki or natural cropped jacket in a sateen, and then natural heels, i think a patent leather strappy sandal in the natural/creme would be really kind of cool...the patent adds a bit of a fancy kick but it''s subtle.

Cute dress! I would do something like these "flesh" patent heeled sandals by Via Spiga.

Sorry, the button thingie for inserting an image here isn''t work for me today, for some reason.

I am totally seeing the white piping too, which matches nicely with the white bag.

How about going with white? Do you still have to wait until after a certain date to wear white shoes these days?

Oh, I totally missed the piping. White heeled sandals would be darling!

Hi KD!

Ann said there was no piping on the dress even though it appears to have it in the picture. Either way, I still think white would look smashing with that beautiful blue.

I agree -- white would be very springy and clean-looking!

okay, maybe the red was a little crazy, but i saw a girl recently who was wearing a simple dark blue (almost navy) knit dress with red wedges and simple red earrings and it looked really good. but that blue wasn''t as bright as this blue.

that isn''t piping, it''s the glare from the sun shining off of the fabric where it folds over on the neckline. it looks like the fabric has a very slight sheen.

How about that? I think a gold metallic would look great with that dress.

I totally "see" these styles...
These flats but a little dressier...and in white or off white depending on the color of the piping

i would do a natural (light camel) colored wedge peep toe. or, would that be too chunky for you?

Like this style ?.... clearly not in this color... Love it !

I''ve been MIA, out of town for a few days, but wow, thanks guys for all
the suggestions.

I can''t do flats, with capris yes, but not a dress, or at least not this dress.

I am leaning towards the natural, not too casual though.
I saw some pewter straw (woven)pumps that looked really interesting, but only
to dress it up a bit for evening, but for now, and for daytime, I''m gonna
search out something natural.

Having little bird legs makes it tough to wear a chunky shoe or even a
chunky heeled sandal. And I wear a narrow width, so shoe shopping is almost
as painful as swimsuit or jean shopping!!

I am on a dress kick big time. But every one I like is pushing over $400.00
This blue one was $ 348.00. (Chaiken) But what the heck, if it makes you feel good...
