Okay, so I can''t find a link to the shoes I found last night, but that doesn''t have to stop me from asking: What are you planning to wear on your feet? Different pair of shoes for the ceremony and the reception? Are they some awesome color because your dress is so long that no one is going to see your feet? Or are they equally awesome because they''re a great pair of shoes that makes your dress that much more lovely? Tell me! Or better yet, show me! Curious minds want to know!

In my case, my dress is listed as "ivory" but really has some gold tones to it. I found some fun flat sandals yesterday that have muted gold straps - they look very Roman, actually! Where''s my toga? My dress is long and I doubt anyone will be seeing my feet, but they''re comfortable (big plus) and don''t have a large heel (also important, as I like the height difference between FI and I). Also? I can take them to Costa Rica on my honeymoon!

I posted a pic of my wedding shoes here . I am planning to wear the same pair all day although I got them in red also and I''m so tempted to wear the red ones for part of it.

I''m also going to Costa Rica on my honeymoon

Won''t be taking my wedding shoes with me though

Here''s a link to My wedding shoes

I also have gold in my dress. These are very cozy-- I''ll be set for the whole day!

I don''t have shoes yet, but julabean, if you find the link to the shoes that you bought, please post it! I am looking for the exact same thing!

And we are also seriously considernig Costa Rica for our honeymoon as well!

Okay, hopefully the picture of the shoes I bought will show up! They are ... some random brand I found at DSW called Coconuts by Matisse and they are Gladiator style! But the box only says "Glad," which is probably why I couldn''t find them before. Looks like they come in silver and black, too!

Hilarious. :) We''re staying on the Pacific side at a Marriott resort...FI''s surrogate parents gave us a buttload of their points and told us, "Pick somewhere in the world you want to go!" We originally wanted to go to Europe (FI is dying to go to Ireland and I''d love love love to go back), but the dollar...oh, the dollar hurts against the Euro right now. So we''re headed somewhere that it won''t hurt so much. :) I minored in Spanish, though, so the trip will hopefully give me some good practice at speaking Spanish!

I did a minor in spanish also but I''m hoping to remember it! You should definitely visit Ireland again! I live in Dublin so luckily when I travel to the US we benefit with the euro. We''re not sure exactly where we''re going in Costa Rica yet however we''re going for about three weeks so we''ll probably travel around for a while.

I plan on wearing the same shoes all night. I might end up buying ballroom dance shoes for our first dance, but I am hoping I wont need to!

Happy I love those blue shoes where did you get them from? How high is the heel?

Happy, those shoes are so cute! I looked and looked for a peep-toe that didn''t have a very high heel on it but couldn''t find anything. Alas. But your shoes are very swanky!

OMG how funny is that - I just posted a thread about the shoes I bought today and I JUST came across this thread. This has happend a couple times already - I think I''m connected somehow to everyone on here - the other brides at least!!

Anyway, I just decided on my shoes today, they''re gorgeous, they go perfectly with the style of my dress - a little vintage, adorned, but not over the top. I agonized a bit, but I really like that I chose silver shoes because I''ll wear them again. And I normally buy shoes that have really high heels, but I didn''t want to go crazy with my wedding shoes because I don''t want hurt feet. I do think I''ll get some cheap silver flip-flops too, to wear later on in the night.

Okay enough blabbing. These are the shoes:

Ooooh I love everyone''s shoes!

Karasue, your shoes are so perfect. PERFECT. P-E-R-F-E-C-T for Dora, for walking on grass, for wearing again and again and again after the wedding. Hm. I love them.

I was waiting for my shoes to arrive today, so I could try them on and pick one. But our regular UPS guy wasn''t in today. He usually just leaves the box at our neighbor''s for me to pick up later, but since he was out, the substitute UPS guy took my shoes back to UPS! So instead of missing them again tomorrow, I''m just going to the UPS center to get them myself. Another day of waiting! Will post pics when I get them, if they fit, and if I like them.

Hi Crown!! I'm glad you like my shoes, I bought them when I was wearing the first dress and I really do like them, but with Dora I wish I had some cute pink shoes or something. But these are really perfect like you said for walking on grass, and I will DEF wear them after the wedding (actually considering wearing them before the wedding to break them in....ok, i just want to wear them, but breaking them in is reason #2...)

can't wait to see your shoes!! did you ever stop by paper presentations on your way to my glass slipper?

also thanks for asking about my move (like forever ago, i meant to respond sooner!), it went great, i just wish i was in my new hometown to enjoy it!! actually right now i hear they are at about -40c and chicago is a balmy 45f!!

ps sorry for the threadjack julabean :) a glass of wine has made me chatty

Thanks ladies! The blue shoes are from zappos. They are by daniblack and they come in light pink and light green too. The heel is 3.5" and they seem comfortable to me, but I wear heels a lot! I did just order some ballroom shoes for our first dance though, our dance teacher really thought I should

Just starting to look for shoes. I''m leaning towards wearing ballroom shoes the whole time. They are so much more comfy than regular heels!! My only issue is that I''m not sure whether to go for silver or for one of the various "flesh" tones. Bright white won''t really work. Hmmm.... maybe something like this? there''s lots of colors... http://www.steponedanceshoes.com/inc/sdetail/2096
