Alright crew,

We made it thru getting the E ring and wedding band selected. They are being sized and the stone mounted right now and should be back first of the week.

Now, we are onto my wedding band. :cheeky:

We are pretty much down to two different Boone Rings, with one slight possible variation on that.

I am a size 11, so we and I are going to go with a 7mm wide.

The two rings that are finalist are images. The 3rd picture is the blackened meteorite

I am hard on rings, a fact I know and am very realistic about. Boone rings said both are very sturdy.

Besides these two rings ,I'm looking for input on the flat versus round profile. We are sorta leaning towards the flat and beveled, but want to hear other Boone rings owners and other with like rings opinions on the shape and such.

The finish. We like the polished, but are unsure of how much or how badly it will scratch over the years. This opens up the discussion on the various brushed/peened/etc finishes they have available.

Thanks for any and all input on this.

#1 is elegant and timely. disclaimer: i'm a mokume gane fan......

My Dh has the one with the trigold Mokume inlay. I was really impressed with the ring and the speed with which we had it!

Lets see some pics, and how old is the ring?

7 years old. Let me find it. I know I have one somewhere on the computer from our wedding day. I just need to find the rest!

Ok I found it but my pics didn't cooperate. Im charging my canon batteries so maybe ill try again later. My iphone wanted to focus on everything besides the ring.

The Damascus Steel I use is a stainless steel, so it's pretty robust and hard. The meteorite is the Gibeon meteorite which is probably the most inert of the common iron based meteorites available. The titanium can get fine scratches over time like other metals, but they can also be buffed back out. I or you can do that any time. The Brushed finish is pretty unique in that it can be buffed with a ScotchBrite pad to as new looking any time. Ballpeen has the rough textured look to it, but the inlay of meteorite or Damascus Steel would be competing with it to be noticed. It doesn't work as well in that case in my opinion. The rings are also possible in Cobalt Chrome, which is a harder and heavier metal than titanium. The color is slightly whiter as well, so it's very similar to the look and feel of platinum.

In my opinion, I like the look of a flat ring with bevels, and I like the feel of a domed ring on my finger. Other's opinions may vary. :))

interesting re "how to care" info.
thank you.
