Hey guys, would love your opinions/answers here please. Is this ACA Diamond from Whiteflash worth the price (is it a good deal), or should I keep looking?Biggest thing Im concerned about is the inclusions and clouds, which are smack dead in the center. In the sparkle video in the link below, the clouds seem obvious to me..

2.69 CARAT -$29K -COLOR I - SI1

The inclusions don’t look dark or black so that’s good. They are also spread around, hence the could. My only issue would be how much they reflect around the stone. The inclusions are not bad imo, you just need to decide how much is too much for you.

yeah exactly, my worry is how much the block the light or how much they reflect around it. is this price too high for that kind of inclusion? the 360 image on the website makes it look pretty cloudy

Here's a possible alternative...2.687 J SI1 for around $3600 less.

Contact WF and they can create a video with them side-by-side for you.

If you have concerns about the inclusions in either, then it may be best to stick with VS2 or better.

I color top, J color bottom.

If it were me, I would keep looking. Maybe even consider trading a bit of size for better clarity. The visible cloudiness in the center of the stone would drive me crazy.

I would have WF compare this vs a "cleaner" stone side by side.

Thanks! im hoping to stay to I color if I can. I didnt realize they could send side by sides, either!

Ugh, i think you may be right. How often do they add new stones? theres only 2 right now within my price range for that size, color, etc.

Thank you, i didnt realize they did this. they take photos for you?

yup! They have all of their "in house" stones (ACA, ES, PS stones) physically at their location, so they can--and do--take IRL pics for potential customers.

I only suggested the lighter-looking J because AGS can sometimes (but not often) be a little looser on color grading than GIA...always best practice to compare directly and let your own eyes tell the story.

They take photos and videos, even help you examine the stones themselves. I do not really like the first one you picked as the main inclusion is cloud and then "additional clouds not shown" - and all on the table - that would be a no for me.

As far as supply, it is hard to tell when they get new diamonds, sign up for alerts unless you are in a hurry.

Talk to WF...ask how eye-clean the stone is. Can you see anything from 6 inches (its hard to focus under 6 inches). Do the inclusions
look like they are interfering with light return (I'm pretty sure it would not make the ACA line if it were). Worth asking though.

You can ask WF what they have coming down the line (they may be able to tell you if they have something coming that fits your
bill).

Ah, that is SUPER helpful! I actually did call them today and they said within the 2.6-2.9 range they rarely get them, maybe 2 per year.. ugh.the additional clouds not shown is annoying, but i feel like i see that on almost all certifications. what makes it a no for you?

Thanks! they said its eye-clean 10 inches away. They said they only have 2 diamonds within the specifications per year (2.6-2.9) ugh

Is the other one I posted here, better?:

2.57carat - $28.22K

I like this one a lot. The symmetry looks awesome and the inclusions are dispersed well and the type & location of the inclusions are not distracting.

Also, I personally don't feel that an included stone is a bad thing providing it is not concentrated in the center of the stone. Sometimes it gives the stone character and a sense of uniqueness. You can always look at it with its markings and know, "Yep, that's my stone."
